Where To Watch Buffalo Bills Game Today

ORCHARD PARK – The last time the Buffalo Bills played a home playoff game at Highmark Stadium, the only thing more miserable than the weather was the final score.

Last January in the divisional round against the Cincinnati Bengals, a steady snow fell all afternoon and the Bengals were far better-equipped to handle the elements than the Bills and the result was a resounding, season-killing 27-10 loss for Buffalo.

And while Buffalo’s AFC wild-card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers has been postponed from Sunday afternoon to Monday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. to theoretically miss the worst part of the dangerous storm that is arriving Saturday, if the weather forecast holds, Monday is still going to be another cold, snowy, windy afternoon in Orchard Park.

The prevalent theory is that the Bills will typically have an advantage in snowy weather, but that narrative is false based on how reliant they are on throwing the ball. Snow and wind makes that much more difficult. Plus, there won’t be any weather advantage against the Steelers who have plenty of experience playing in cold, sometimes snowy conditions.

Against the Bengals, Josh Allen completed 25 of 42 passes for 264 yards but also had an interception and led the Bills on just one touchdown drive, one that he capped with a one-yard QB sneak.

“We just got to be sound schematically and within our fundamentals,” Allen said regarding playing in inclement weather. “The wind may move the ball a little bit. Again, having the experience that I do in the stadium and knowing wind patterns, what we will expect them to be at least. Just having a good sense of that and again, just finding ways to get our playmakers the ball on the outside.

“Typically, it’s going to be, with weather like this, a game that both teams are going to run the ball and it’s going to be very possession-limited so we got to make these possessions count.”
