Where To Watch Dragon Ball Dubbed

Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball is probably the first anime that really made an impact in the West. Created in a period when martial arts movies were popular in the West, Dragon Ball became a global phenomenon that would, more than a decade later, enable the “Big Three” to make anime a part of cinema history. The overall structure of Dragon Ball is not always easy to follow, so we will tell you where you can watch all the Dragon Ball series in dubbed format.

Dragon Ball is not on Netflix at all

Dragon Ball is currently not available on Netflix globally. Despite Netflix’s extensive content library, it doesn’t feature any Dragon Ball series. This absence may be attributed to Netflix’s tendency to focus on newer anime and potential licensing and distribution rights issues. While Netflix excels in providing diverse content, geographic restrictions might limit access to certain shows. To confirm the availability in your region, check directly on Netflix. Ultimately, Dragon Ball’s English dub is not accessible on Netflix, irrespective of your location.

Suprisingly, you can’t watch dubbed Dragon Ball on Crunchyroll

Surprisingly, Crunchyroll, the prominent anime distributor for the Western market, does not offer dubbed episodes of Dragon Ball for streaming. While Crunchyroll typically provides an extensive catalog of anime series, Dragon Ball is an exception, and the platform only features Dragon Ball Super in subbed format. This deviation is likely due to licensing issues, as Funimation holds the streaming rights for Dragon Ball in the Western region. Despite this, Crunchyroll remains an excellent choice for various other anime titles.

Is Dragon Ball dubbed available on Disney+?

Disney+ does not provide any Dragon Ball content, aligning with its conservative approach toward content produced by other studios, especially anime, which is considered both a competitor and incompatible with Disney’s emphasis on original animated content. However, if you’re open to Western animation and a limited selection of other anime series, Disney+ offers alternatives like The Simpsons, with 33 seasons as of April 2022, as well as shows like Gravity Falls, The Mighty Ducks, and various Star Wars series, including the widely acclaimed The Mandalorian. As of 2023, Disney+ has expanded its anime collection, and currently, you can stream Tokyo Revengers on the service.

Funimation is the best (and only) place to watch Dragon Ball dubbed

The majority of the Dragon Ball series, including Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, and Dragon Ball Super, is accessible on Funimation in both subbed and dubbed formats. However, Dragon Ball Kai is not available on the platform. It’s worth noting that Funimation’s availability is restricted to specific countries, limiting access for viewers worldwide.

Is Dragon Ball dubbed on Hulu?

Dragon Ball, specifically the dubbed version, is unavailable for Hulu streaming. While Hulu has a decent anime library, Dragon Ball is notably absent. You can find Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball GT on Hulu if you want to watch subbed episodes. However, it’s essential to consider Hulu’s limited availability, mainly catering to the United States, making it challenging for international viewers. Given its content limitations and geographic restrictions, Hulu may not be the ideal choice for Dragon Ball enthusiasts.
