The Republican presidential primaries run from Jan. 15, 2024, to June 11, 2024. Before then, voters can tune in to a third Republican presidential debate, set to take place in Miami this week.

When is the next presidential debate?
The next Republican presidential debate will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.
The event will be from 8 to 10 p.m. EST.

The third Republican presidential debate will be televised on NBC and NBC News, plus streamed live on NBCNews.com and Peacock. Viewers can also tune in on Rumble, the streaming partner of the Republican National Committee.
The debate will be moderated by Lester Holt, Kristen Welker and Hugh Hewitt. Holt and Welker are NBC anchors, while Hewitt hosts a show on the Salem Radio Network.

Who has qualified for this Republican presidential debate?
The first Republican presidential debate saw eight candidates take the stage, with seven participating in the second. Five candidates will participate in the third debate, however one candidate who will not take part is Donald Trump. The former president suggested the RNC cancel the event before deciding to hold a rally in nearby Hialeah the night of the debate.

To qualify for the third GOP presidential debate, candidates must receive campaign contributions from at least 70,000 different donors, register at least 4% in two national polls (or in one national poll and one state poll that meets RNC requirements) and also make a pledge to support the eventual Republican nominee. The deadline to meet the criteria was Nov. 6.
The RNC announced Monday the five candidates who will be on stage for the third GOP debate: Chris Christie, Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy and Tim Scott.

Former vice president Mike Pence leads a list of candidates who participated in the second debate but will not be on stage for the third, having dropped out of the race. Douglas Burgum, who was also on the stage for the second debate, and Asa Hutchinson, who only qualified for the first debate, also failed to meet the criteria to be on the stage.
Are there any more Republican presidential debates?
The Republican National Committee announced Friday the fourth Republican presidential debate will take place Dec. 6 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This fourth debate will have increased criteria for participants, though it is expected that Trump will not participate.
