Where To Watch The Hunger Games Free

With the three-finger salute becoming a sign for freedom and democracy worldwide, it’s no wonder Suzanne Collins’ Hunger Games left its mark on history. Luckily, the lore behind Panem didn’t come to its end with the trilogy.

In 2020, the author published a prequel novel titled The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. The book takes us back to the 10th Hunger Games, and gives us more insight into how the games were shaped.

The new movie is scheduled for release in November 2023 in theaters. In the meantime, you might want to refresh your memory, and rewatch The Games. Here’s where you can stream the movies.

Upcoming: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes

Lionsgate released a trailer for another Hunger Games movie, and fans were over the moon. Based on Suzanne Collins’ prequel novel with the same name, The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes takes us 64 years before the events that made Katniss Everdeen an icon.

With the latest installment in the franchise, we get to witness a young Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth) as a mentor figure in the Games. We see a different side to President Snow from what we know as he’s struggling to climb up the social ladder.

As his family has fallen from grace, Snow has no choice but to mentor Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler), a tribute from the famously poverty-stricken District 12. Lucy Gray captivates the audience with her charisma and talent, which leaves an opportunity for Coriolanus to turn the odds in their favor.

Sadly, we have to wait until November to see the full story unfold on the big screen. In the meantime, you can brush up on everything The Hunger Games.

There’s plenty of time to read the books again, but you might also want to rewatch the entire movie series too.

Can You Stream The Hunger Games for Free?

You can stream the original Hunger Games trilogy for free on Tubi. Tubi is a free video-on-demand platform from the US. It has apps for Android, iOS, Roku TV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Xfinity X1, Xbox and PlayStation consoles, and for other Smart TVs like Samsung and Sony. On desktops, you can also stream for free in-browser.

It’s hard to find movies and TV shows that aren’t hidden behind a subscription-based service. Luckily, the first installment of the The Hunger Games series is over 10 years old at this point. While it can make fans feel old, it also makes the series available for free since people are less willing to pay for older features.

It’s not all rosy, since Tubi is an ad-supported platform. This means it uses ads to fund its service. So, you’ll get constant interruptions while seeing Katniss in the arena.

Tubi also has a maximum 720p resolution for its titles. If you’re used to the UHD quality Netflix or Disney+ provides, you might find it a slightly bothersome experience.

Whether you go for a paid service or a free one, keep one thing in mind — most of these platforms are only available in the US.
