Hence, the filming locations of Quigley Down Under were set in Australia. There are two major locations where the movie was shot, in Victoria and Northern Territory.

The principal photography was taken in Victoria, specifically in Melbourne and Apollo Bay. However, the maximum shots were filmed in Northern Territory. To be more precise, the scenes were shot in a small town far from Alice Springs. The area can be quite easily replicated into a 19th-century cowboy town, with hots and pubs that existed in those days. The Ross River Homestead was also used in the movie to depict Marston’s home. The team had to spend a lot of days and weeks preparing the whole set for the movie and making sure that the whole location was ready and fit well into the story.
