- Beloved Playa Mujeres (Adults Only Resort)
The Beloved Playa Mujeres is a boutique resort that is located right next to the Finest Playa Mujeres featured earlier on our list. The resort has only 107 rooms available, so it is the perfect getaway for couples looking for an adult-only experience.
The food on offer here is hands down the best we have ever experienced at an all-inclusive resort. The choice here is a little limited with 4 restaurants to choose from but given the small size of the resort. It means the quality is really top-notch.
If you’re looking for all-inclusive resorts in Cancun that offer top-notch food, look no further than the Beloved. Compared to the other resorts, this boutique resort is on another level when it comes to quality and consistency. Plus, with no reservations needed at their restaurants, you won’t have to worry about the hassle of prepping for the week.

- Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun
One of the priciest resorts in Cancun, the Le Blanc delivers on its food offering. This is flat-out the best food on offer in an all-inclusive resort in Cancun. It’s genuinely 5-star dining at the LeBlanc.
This would have taken our number one spot, but given the price to stay here we bumped it down a spot. As pound for pound, the Beloved is a better option when you take into account the standard of food and the price.
Nightly and weekly rates are one of the priciest in Cancun, but if food is a priority and you have some cash. It’s well worth it.

Yama Japanese and the Pure Healthy restaurant were the standout best spots, but given the high quality of the food on offer, you really can’t go wrong with any place at the Le Blanc.
- Finest Playa Mujeres (Family Friendly)
Any of the Excellence collection resorts is usually a good shout and they feature heavily on our list here. The Finest resort location in Playa Mujeres takes our top spot. This family-friendly 5-star resort is pound for pound one of the best resorts we have reviewed.
The food here is one of its shining stars. The vastness of the choice, the consistency, and the quality are all top-notch. There are 11 restaurants in the resort, so there is so much choice.
Tinto & Tapas and Shoji were our top two restaurants and must visits. There are no reservations needed at the majority of the restaurants, so it makes your life that little bit easier. Check out our full review below.
- Excellence Playa Mujeres
Great food separates good all-inclusive resorts from great resorts and the Excellence Playa Mujeres is one of the shining lights. With 12 restaurants to choose from, there’s something for everyone – from Italian and Mexican to Spanish, Indian, and Asian cuisine.
Consistency and quality again is a key attribute to the Excellence and you really can’t go wrong with anything here. Even the room service was prompt and decent.
If you are visiting the Excellence be sure to visit Basmati, Chez Isabelle, and Magna. These were our top 3 restaurants based on our visit a couple of years ago.
- Excellence Riviera Cancun
Although this is located a little outside the main area it’s technically still Cancun, so warrants being on our list. This location of the Excellence chain is located in Riviera Cancun, which is around a 25-minute drive from Cancun international airport.
As we’ve talked about in the list, the Excellence chain of resorts is the flag bearer when it comes to top-notch food in Cancun.

The Riviera Cancun resort is the most affordable of them all. If you are looking for really good quality food at the best price, then this is the resort for you. Again there are 11 restaurants to choose from, so the choice will not be an issue. The quality and standard of food are strong.
Our favorites here were actually the main buffet (The Kitchen table) and Agave which is one of the two Mexican restaurants in the resort. The food at Agave is authentic and perfectly executed.
- Secrets the Vine Cancun
Located right in the heart of the hotel zone. This is only the second resort in this area that has been featured on our list.
A relative newcomer on the Cancun all-inclusive resort scene the food on offer here is good. There are a ton of restaurants to choose from and most of the restaurants are located on the upper floors, so there are some great views of the ocean.
Consistency can be an issue at the Vine, but if you choose the right restaurants you shouldn’t have an issue. Our top recommendations are Dragon, Olio, and Nebbiolo Ristorante. They were all top-notch.
The Secrets is part of the AMResorts chain and is one of the biggest operations in the industry. One of the great benefits that you get when staying at an AMResort is the “Sip, Saviour, and See” feature. This allows you to access the restaurants at sister resorts in the area. There are loads of options in the area from the following brands – The Dreams, Secrets and Zoetry are all available to dine at.
- Dreams Vista Cancun
Another resort is located in the main hotel zone and is another decent spot for some great food. This resort is relatively new having only opened in July 2020. It’s quickly made a name for itself being one of the better resorts for food in Cancun.
La Plaza is the main buffet on the resort and the food here is good. It’s not the biggest buffet we have ever seen, but there is more of a focus on quality compared to volume. There are six different cuisine stations which were more than enough choices for us.
Himitsu, which is a pan-asian style offering is also top class and well worth a visit.
