Harvey
Harvey is the most feared closer in New York. He is extremely confident and unwavering when faced with adversity. That’s why it’s not a surprise he never lost a case.
While being a solid rock on the outside, Harvey has a hard time dealing with his internal issues. He has a bad relationship with his mother. The two split to separate ways after Harvey found out she is cheating on his father. He later reconciles with her, shortly before she passes away. Harvey is mostly single because every woman he commits to gets threatened by Donna’s presence.
Donna
If you are having trouble reading people, or don’t understand what they want, you go to Donna. According to her, and many of her peers, she’s the best assistant in the world. Her loyalty lies with Harvey, whom she works for.
Donna has trouble committing to romantic relationships because she always puts Harvey first. The two of them had a fling early in their working relationship that they’ve been trying to bury ever since. In the later seasons of the show, they finally commit to a relationship and even marriage.
Rachel
When your father is one of the most respected lawyers in the industry, one would think your life would be easy. That’s not the case for Rachel Zane. She wants to carve her own path in life.

She was a paralegal when she first met Mike. Mike helped her overcome her fear of taking exams. Even though she scored high enough to get into Harvard, her dream school, they rejected her. Afterward, she goes to Stanford and makes Jessica remove the rule stating that her company accepts only lawyers from Harvard.
Rachel is a hard worker, often more competent than the lawyers she’s working for. She doesn’t want others to take it easy on her because of her heritage.

Jessica
Jessica Pearson is one person you should always have on your side. This fearsome managing partner climbed the corporate ladder against all odds. It taught her the value of good people, as well as how to control them. After stepping down from Pearson Specter Litt and losing her license, she moved to Chicago.
Louis
Louis is someone whom we hated, and loved over the years. He is one of the best lawyers in New York. But he always sees himself in Harvey’s shadow. That affects his confidence, and he’s often clowned upon by other senior lawyers.
He gets into the position of power by threatening Jessica that he will expose Mike’s secret. That puts a strain on his relationship with the rest of the firm.
Louis has a very fragile ego and is suffering from an inferiority complex. He easily lashes out at anyone who questions his authority. And even though many people fear and dislike him, Louis is actually a sensitive person with a big heart. His dream is to be a father, and he even temporarily loses the love of his life to pursue that dream.
