Ghosts is a 30-minute comedy show that airs on CBS. It was created by Joe Port, Joe Wiseman, Ian Murphy, John Hartman, John Timothy, and more. It’s adapted from a British show of the same name. The show follows a couple named Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) who open a bed and breakfast in their beautiful country house — that happens to be filled with ghosts. The ghosts are Viking Thorfinn (Devan Chandler Long), scout leader Pete (Richie Moriarty), Indigenous storyteller Sassappis (Román Zaragoza), jazz singer Alberta (Danielle Pinnock), lady of the house Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky), hippie Flower (Sheila Carrasco), Revolutionary War captain Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones), and finance bro Trevor (Asher Grodman). There are also some ghost guest stars, including Hetty’s husband Elias Woodstone (Matt Walsh).

The first season of the show gave deep dives into each of the ghosts’ backstories and introduced their unique ghost powers. There are also important subplots about a murder mystery podcast and Jay’s sister Bela falling for Trevor. The second season introduced even more conflicts into Woodstone Mansion, including a plot about Pete’s daughter and a story where Sam and Jay try to have a romantic dinner and keep getting foiled. There’s also a storyline where Flower tells Sam about why she’s having trouble opening up to Thor, who likes her romantically. All in all, Ghosts is a hilarious show with a lot of heart.
