Software is a set of instructions designed to perform specific tasks. Softwares are broadly classified into system and application software, where system software is designed to make a computer function and application software are designed to perform specific tasks such as word processing.

  • It is a kind of application software designed to deliver or assist with student instruction on a particular subject/topic.

Edusat:

  • GSAT-3, known as EDUSAT is meant for distant classroom education from school level to higher education.
  • This was the first dedicated “Educational Satellite” that provide the country with satellite-based two-way communication to the classroom for delivering educational materials.
  • It is specially configured for the audiovisual medium, employing digital interactive classrooms and multimedia multicentric systems.
  • EDUSAT is primarily meant for providing connectivity to school, college, and higher levels of education and also to support non-formal education including developmental communication.
