The Ocean’s film series is a trilogy of American heist films based on the original movie released in 1960. The films have captured the imagination of people across the world and following the original three movies, a fourth was released in 2018, with a female cast. The best Ocean’s film in many people’s eyes is the first movie, which was released in 2001. Ocean’s Eleven starred George Clooney as thief Danny Ocean, who has been released from prison. In a bid to win back the affection of his ex-wife, played by Julia Roberts, Ocean plans a daring heist on three casinos in Las Vegas. In his bid to pull of what is an elaborate and complex heist, Ocean recruits a group of individuals with unique skills. Some of the recruitment scenes are just as good to watch as the heist itself, especially when Ocean is persuading Rusty, played by Brad Pitt, to join the group. The characters are often at odds with each other as they attempt to produce ways to steal the money from the casinos.

You can watch Ocean’s Eleven repeatedly and never get bored of the movie, which is perhaps the best compliment you can pay. That is why it is ranked as the best Ocean’s film. However, if you want a taste of the Las Vegas action yourself, you do not have to go far thanks to the great selection of casino games available online. Online casinos have come a long way since the original release of Ocean’s Eleven and you can even play games with a real dealer using your computer or mobile phone.

Back to the movies and the next best Ocean’s movie must be Ocean’s Thirteen. This film was released in 2007 and is the third of the original trilogy. A new casino is opening which is owned by Willy Bank, played by the legendary Al Pacino. Bank double crosses one of the Oceans gangs and that sees Ocean get them together in a bid to ruin the opening night of the new casino. Interestingly, in a bid to ruin the casino, Ocean recruits the villain from the Ocean’s Eleven movie, Terry Benedict played by Andy Garcia. The addition of Benedict to the group adds a lot of tension, with plenty of comedy moments between the group. One of the reasons why this is ranked as the second-best Ocean movie is because of the performance of Pacino, who is superb as the villain. While there are many fun moments in the film, Ocean’s Thirteen takes time to reflect on why the characters belong together and there are some touching moments throughout the movie.

Next, we come to Ocean’s Twelve and this is in third place. However, that does not mean it is a bad movie and watching the star actors bounce off each other on screen is fantastic. The group is being blackmailed by casino owner Terry Benedict, who wants them to pay their loot from the original movie plus interest. The group have been given three weeks to get the money and they make a trip to Europe to commit three heists. Some of the more interesting scenes includes Julia Roberts’ character pretending to be Julia Roberts and the ending sequence of the film, which is tremendous.

Finally in our run down of the best to worst Ocean’s movies we come to Ocean’s Eight. Unfortunately, this spinoff movie did not hit the heights of the previous three films which is sad because it boasts a superb cast, including Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna Sarah Paulson, and Nora “Awkwafina” Lum.
