Ted Lasso
Ted Lasso is a show created by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt, and Joe Kelly. It stars Jason Sudeikis as the titular Ted, an American football coach hired by a British soccer team to be its head coach. AFC Richmond plays in the British Premier League, and the English football team has fallen on hard times. But with Ted’s can-do attitude, he hopes to turn the team around.

The show also stars Nick Mohammed as Nathan Shelley, who goes from equipment manager to assistant coach, along with Brendan Hunt as Coach Beard, Ted’s main assistant coach on the sidelines. The captain of the team, Roy Kent, is played by Brett Goldstein, who is also a writer on the show. Hannah Waddingham plays Rebecca Welton, the team’s owner who hired the American coach. Sudeikis, Goldstein, and Waddingham all won Primetime Emmy Awards for the first season.
Other characters include Keeley Jones, Jamie Tartt, Sam Obisanya, Dani Rojas, and Isaac McAdoo, to name a few. It is a comedy series that is for many ages. People have really embraced this show, and showrunner Bill Lawrence has proved that the first season wasn’t a fluke with a just as memorable second season. The second season introduced Sharon Fieldstone, a sports psychologist, to the cast. It’s one of the top comedy series on TV.
