I was on a 9-hour flight from Germany back to New York the other day and I figured I would use the time to pray, read, listen to music and watch a couple of movies. I started with music. I love starting with praise when I pray and one of my goals is to start with praise in everything I do at work or at home. One of the songs I played over and over again is the song “Lion and the Lamb” by Bethel Music. The lyrics are poignant and uplifting. “Who can stop the Lord Almighty?” is a powerful lyric. The singer is asking a rhetorical question. It is truly a statement. It’s a statement that captures the truth of who God is. He is invincible. He is mighty and unstoppable. If you are going through a difficult time today, take a minute and reflect on this great truth. Who can stop the God Almighty, friend? You know that the answer is no one. There is no one and there is nothing that can stop the Lord. Your biggest problem cannot stop Him. Your biggest obstacles cannot stop Him. Your biggest fear cannot stop Him.
Our God is the lion of Judah who is fighting our battles. Remember that the battle is not yours. People, thoughts, worry and even words can stop you. You and I have our limitations. God has no limitations. There is nothing that He can’t handle. He is fighting your battles and winning your battles. He is standing strong and standing tall. Your victory is achieved through Him. You are not the one fighting against the enemy. You have a role to play for sure. Being in faith is your part of the battle but the actual win is thanks to the Lord. Your faith is the hand that stretches out to the heavens and that activates everything. If you believe, even just a little, the victory is on its way.

Sometimes when we are going through a trial, we can almost feel the chains that are keeping us bound. God specializes in destroying chains and shackles. He has the necessary tools to do that. It’s not for us to worry about how the chains will fall. God takes care of the deliverance and we take care of the praises going up to Him. We don’t have to wait for the results to start the praises. They should start now! Every knee will bow before the Lord and that includes the knee of any type of adversity. He is sovereign and all-powerful. Nothing can stop our God, friend. Whatever you are facing today, declare loudly and proudly that nothing is bigger than your God. Command your situation to come in agreement with God’s Word. Command your problem to bow down before the Lord of Lords. He is here to set the captives free and that includes you and me. Let God fight your battles! He is looking for chains to break. Give Him your chains. Praise your way to victory in Jesus’ name! Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
