Following graduating from Point Park University in 2015 with a degree in Broadcasting Reporting, she moved from Pittsburgh back to her hometown.
Sierra began working at Erie News Now as a reporter. Serving several shifts, she landed a spot as the weekend morning anchor and live morning reporter. Sierra also filled in on the anchor desk when needed, including One Caribbean Television, which broadcasts 24/7 in the Caribbean Islands.
Her journalism career took her to the country of Georgia, via the Georgian Media Partnership Program with IREX, the International Research & Exchanges Board. During her time in Georgia, Sierra spent a week serving along with Georgian reporters teaching them multi-media journalism techniques.
