The 27-year-old from Garryvoe became emotional as she spoke following the elimination, saying it was “obviously devasting but I’ve had the best time on the show.”
Mullins, who has over two million followers on TikTok and also presents on Cork’s RedFM, had previously said she wasn’t sure what the reaction to her was going to be on the show as she believes “there still is a stigma with influencers and influencers getting opportunities”.

Last week, she told the Irish Examiner she had been “blown away” by the support she had received since the show began, particularly at home in Cork.
“It’s just been really positive, everyone’s been so nice. Where I live at home down in Cork, all the local businesses are sharing me going on Dancing with the Stars [on social media] and saying to vote for me.

Faircity’s Shane Quigley Murphy opened the show with a quickstep. Head judge Loraine Barry said she would like to see “the power from the centre of the body” to develop. He scored 21 points.
Jason Smyth took on the first rumba of the season — with an extra challenge. Smyth was impersonating Edward Scissorhands and had the hands to match with a dangerous-looking prop. Unfortunately, they didn’t distract from his moves. “A little bit of WD40 would have helped” the hip movement, commented judge Brian Redmond. He scored 18.
Rosanna Davison had judge Arthur “in wonderland” with her contemporary ballroom. Judge Brian commented that she had struggled a bit with getting into the performance aspect previously, but she did “much, much better” this week. “It’s the best I’ve seen you dance,” he concluded. She scored 24.
Former newsreader Eileen Dunne went back to the 70s this week with a tango to ‘Super Trouper’ from Mamma Mia. “You bring it every week,” Loraine said, “a super performance.” However, both her and Arthur agreed she didn’t quite give them the power needed for the tango. She added 17 to the scoreboard.

Quickly becoming a favourite for walking away with the glitterball is David Whelan, and on Sunday, he jived his way to the highest score of the season, 27. “That was jive perfection”, Arthur explained, “every week you guys are incredible… You blow me away.”
Brian said it was”very apparent” that Six O’Clock presenter Katja Mia was taking the judges’ advice on board. “There is definitely an improvement with your footwork,” he said. “There’s work still to do, but you’re getting there.” She scored 23.
Davy Russell, meanwhile, bounced back (both metaphorically and literally) with his Star Wars-themed Charleston. “Davy Russell, is this you?,” Loraine gasped. “What a transformation from last week. The key to the Charleston is the swivel and you executed them beautifully tonight.” Arthur, meanwhile, said he was “back in the game.” He walked away with 21 points, a significant improvement from last week’s score of 12.
Arthur said he was “head over heels” with Laura Fox’s Viennese Waltz, and applauded her characterisation. However, Loraine still thinks the RTÉ star is holding back and said she was “willing” her to come out of her shell. She added 22 to the leaderboard.
Blu Hydrangea turned into Barbie for the night, while professional partner Simone Arena brought the Kenenergy to the dancefloor. With an impressive salsa, a costume change mid-performance and two additional pro partners coming onto the floor to contend with, the drag queen continued to reign with not so much as a foot out of place. Brian, however, felt the hip action was lacking. She scored a 9 from Arthur, and 25 overall.
- Dancing with the Stars continues on RTÉ One every Sunday at 6:30pm.
