Wembley Stadium in London has played host to some huge, sold-out gigs over the years, including concerts from the likes of Ed Sheeran, Oasis and BTS.

Playing Wembley Stadium is the pinnacle for many artists but only a handful have actually had the honour of doing so.

Even more impressive than playing Wembley is selling out the whole stadium, which can host over 90,000 people.

We’ve rounded up some of the massive acts that have put on sold out concerts at Wembley Stadium…

1. Ed Sheeran

   Ed Sheeran has played a bunch of dates at Wembley Stadium over the years, including an incredible run of four sold-out nights in June 2018.

2. BTS

   

   BTS made history as the first-ever South Korean group to headline and sell out Wembley Stadium. They performed a night at the iconic arena in June 2019.

3. Muse

   

   Muse became the first band to sell out the new stadium. They played two sold out nights in June 2007 and then a load of dates in the years after.

4. Oasis

   

   Oasis are one of a handful of acts to have performed at the ‘old’ Wembley and the new stadium. They played three nights in a row back in July 2009.

5. Taylor Swift

   

   Taylor Swift took her Reputation Tour to Wembley Stadium back in June 2018 and surprised concertgoers by bringing out British legend Robbie Williams as a guest!

6. One Direction

   Harry, Liam, Louis, Niall and Zayn made their first appearance at the iconic venue back in 2014 as part of their Where We Are Tour, playing three nights in a row.

7. Beyoncé

   

   Beyoncé brought her Formation World Tour to Wembley Stadium in June 2016 and an A-list crowd turned out to support her, including Madonna and Kim Kardashian.

8. Spice Girls

   

   The girl group are another who have had the honour of performing at the ‘old’ and new stadiums. Most recently they played a string of dates in June 2019.

9. Take That

   

   Take That’s eight nights at Wembley Stadium as part of their 2011 Progress Live tour saw them break the record for the highest-grossing concert residency.

10. Eminem

    

    The legendary American rapper played two shows at Wembley Stadium in June 2014 and was even joined on stage by Dr Dre.
