Their third bandmate, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, tragically passed away in a car accident while vacationing in Honduras on April 25, 2002. The documentary still touches on Left Eye’s story, notably her headline-making relationship with Andre Rison. Let’s take a look at what happened and who Rison is in a relationship with now.
Andre Rison and Lisa Lopes started dating in 1992
In 1992, the year TLC released their debut album, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes started dating Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Andre Rison. The pair met in an Atlanta nightclub. Rison was based in the southern city while playing for the Falcons from 1990 to 1994.

Both were celebrity stars of the 1990s so there was inevitable interest in their relationship. But their love reached infamy after Left Eye decided to burn down their home after a fight. On June 9, 1994, Left Eye set fire to the NFL star’s Atlanta mansion, with it burning to the ground. Despite this headline-making incident, the couple remained in an on-again, off-again relationship.
Years later, in 2008, Sandra “Pepa” Denton of Salt-N-Pepa alleged in her autobiography that her friendship with Andre Rison raised suspicions in the lead up to the fire.
Despite Left Eye and Rison’s tumultuous relationship, the pair shared their intentions to marry in the early 2000s. However, Left Eye’s sudden death in 2002 meant that the couple never could see their plans through.

Who is Andre Rison’s wife now?
Andre Rison is currently married to Lisa Lopez-Rison. Not to be confused with the TLC rapper, Lisa Lopez-Rison is not the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.

The couple’s love story, however, started in a similar fashion. Rison met his wife-to-be at a club in Scottsdale, Arizona. They met at a club called Barcelonas in March 2009 and they have been together ever since. She was working as a flight attendant at the time and is 14 years Rison’s junior. This means she is currently around 42 years old.
Lisa Lopez-Rison battled breast cancer, sharing her health struggles with the couple’s fans. She underwent a double mastectomy with 16 rounds of chemotherapy in her fight and is currently in good health and spirits.

Andre and wife Lisa share four children together
Andre Rison currently has nine children, four of whom he shares with Lisa Lopez-Rison. The couple are currently expecting their fifth child, a son, who is due in July/August 2023.
Andre also has five other older sons from previous relationships. One of these sons is Hunter Rison, whom he shares with Racquel Banks. Hunter Rison hopes to follow his father into the world of professional football, having played for Michigan State as a receiver.
