Who Is Announcing The Eagles Game Today On Tv

ORCHARD PARK – Growing up in Jamestown, even though Nick Sirianni wasn’t a Buffalo Bills fan – opting instead for the Pittsburgh Steelers – all he had to do was look around at the people in his hometown to know what Super Bowl disappointment looked like.

Sirianni was in grammar school when the Bills lost four consecutive Super Bowls in the early 1990s, and perhaps some of the heartbreak he witnessed back then helped prepare him for what he endured last February when the team he now coaches, the Philadelphia Eagles, lost Super Bowl 57 to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Since breaking into the NFL coaching ranks in 2009 with the Chiefs, and then during stints with the Chargers and Colts, Sirianni has coached in games against the Bills. But Sunday afternoon, the 42-year-old former football standout at Section VI’s Southwestern High School will face the Bills – the team many of his old pals back home still root for – for the first time as an NFL head coach when the Eagles host Buffalo in a game that is huge for both teams.

Sirianni’s team, now 9-1 which is the best record in the NFL, will look to stay ahead of the Cowboys in the NFC East and continue its push for the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoff bracket. McDermott’s Bills will be trying to continue their climb back into the AFC playoff chase on the heels of an impressive victory over the Jets.
