Who Is Calling The Eagles Game Today

The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys meet on Sunday night in a game critical to the NFC East race. The Eagles enter with a one-game lead over the Cowboys for first place in the division. Philadelphia will still drop to the fifth seed with a loss because Dallas will own the tiebreaker.

Both teams can clinch a playoff berth but need help from the results of other Week 14 games around the league. The game will be on NBC; kickoff for Sunday Night Football is 8:20 p.m. ET.

When Does NBC’s Coverage Start?

Maria Taylor will be the host of Football Night in America, which kicks off NBC’s pregame coverage at 7 p.m. ET. Former head coaches Tony Dungy and Jason Garrett and former players Devin McCourty, Chris Simms, and Rodney Harrison will provide analysis.

Who Are the Game Announcers for Eagles-Cowboys?

Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth are in the booth, with Melissa Stark as the sideline reporter and Terry McAulay as the rules analyst.

Collinsworth is in his 15th season providing game analysis for Sunday Night Football. He has won 17 Emmy awards, including stops at HBO, FOX, and the NFL Network.

Stark is in her second season as a sideline reporter for NBC. Along with NBC, she worked for ESPN and the NFL Network during her career.

McAulay joined NBC as a rules analyst in 2018 after 20 years as an on-field NFL official. He was a referee for 17 seasons and was assigned to the Super Bowl three times.

Mike Tirico’s a Jack of All Trades

Tirico is in his second season as the play-by-play announcer for Sunday Night Football. He spent 25 years at ESPN and was the Monday Night Football play-by-play announcer for 10 seasons. Tirico, Al Michaels, Frank Gifford, and Mike Patrick are the only play-by-play announcers to work prime-time NFL games for at least 10 seasons.

During his time at ESPN, Tirico started as a SportsCenter anchor in 1991 and became the first host of Monday Night Countdown in 1993. He served as a play-by-play announcer for the network’s college basketball and college football coverage. He was part of coverage for other major events like the NBA, the World Cup, The Masters, The Open, and tennis’ U.S. Open and Wimbledon.

Tirico joined NBC in 2012 and has hosted several events, including the Olympics, the Indianapolis 500, and golf’s U.S. Open and Open Championship. He also played a part in the network’s NFL coverage as a play-by-play announcer and hosted the 2018 Stanley Cup Final.

Tirico joined NBC’s NFL coverage for the 2018 season as host of Football Night in America before replacing Michaels as the play-by-play announcer for Sunday Night Football in 2022.
