A Little About Me
I joined News 2 as Chief Meteorologist in July 2016. My passion for weather started when I was a child. I grew up outside of Philadelphia and saw everything from blizzards to ice storms to tornadoes.
Then, in eighth grade, a local tv meteorologist visited my school to talk about the weather and from that day forward, I knew I would be a meteorologist.

Not only am I the Chief Meteorologist in Nashville, but you will see me from time to time filling in on Good Morning America and World News Tonight! I have been doing that since 2021, and enjoy every moment!
I have the CBM (Certified Broadcast Meteorologist) Seal, which is the highest seal a meteorologist can have. I have served on the American Meteorological Society Board of Broadcast for the past five years. I was the Board of Broadcast Chair in 2022 and the 2023 Broadcast Conference C0-Chair which occurred in June of 2023 in Phoenix. I was lucky to have my ABC Network friend Ginger Zee, Chief Meteorologist of ABC News be the keynote speaker.
I received the American Meteorological Society’s June Bacon-Bercey Award for Broadcast Meteorology in 2022 for exceptional life saving coverage during the March 2-3, 2020 Middle Tennessee tornado outbreak and sustained efforts to educate the community about severe weather safety.

I also received a Edward R. Murrow Award for our continuing coverage called “Tennessee Strong: Aftermath of Deadly Tornado Outbreak” which was from that same outbreak.
In September 2023, I was awarded the Young Alumni Achievement Award from Cornell College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. It was such an honor to receive the award from Nicole, a student I am currently mentoring, going into the broadcast meteorology.
In my spare time, my number one priority is giving back. I am a board member for the Nashville Wine Auction which raises money to find cures to cancer. I am also the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Dream Home Spokesperson for Nashville and just this year we won the Campaign of the Year Award. I am a big part of the American Red Cross here in TN and received the Mission Award at the Nashville Lifesaver Luncheon in 2022. I also help with projects for the Nashville Humane Association, the Rally Foundation, JDRF, and many other organizations. I also loves visiting schools and inspiring kids to pursue math and science careers.
On a personal note, I am married to radio/tv talent Joe Breezy who does afternoons on Mix 92.9 and also is the pop culture correspondent/co-host for Local on 2 which is our entertainment show on News 2 that airs at 2pm.
