The death toll from the massacre that took place around 2:00 p.m. this Saturday in San Vicente has risen to 11 fatalities: ten men and one woman, including the delegate of the San Antonio de las Minas delegation, José Eduardo Orozco Piña, in the wine region of Ensenada.
So far, only the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) has made a statement, indicating that they have initiated the corresponding investigation into the massacre perpetrated against participants of the “El Cachanillazo” race, which takes place along the coastal area south of Ensenada.
Among the information leaked at the scene, it was revealed that one of the victims was the target of the attack, a runner known as El Trebol. It was also reported that a possible motive is an attack against members of the Arellano Felix Cartel (CAF).
The individual in question is Alonso Arambula Piña, also known as El Loncho and El Trebol, 34 years old and allegedly connected to organized crime. El Trebol, racing under the Exotic Off Road team, was participating in the race.
Rumors also emerged regarding the alleged execution of the influencer and restaurant entrepreneur who owns the King & Queen franchise in Valle de Guadalupe, known as Mr. Tempo. However, this has not been confirmed or denied, although the individual did participate in the so-called “El Cachanillazo” race.
As of now, the Ensenada City Council has not confirmed the death of their official.

The locals expressed their feelings about the events that took place. Mrs. Lucia, a street vendor from the town, said she witnessed the moment the gunfire broke out: “We didn’t know whether to run or leave everything behind. We were paralyzed; we had never seen anything like it before.”
Mr. Elias Lopez mentioned that the town of San Vicente was a peaceful place, and the incident has left everyone shocked: “The situation is going from bad to worse, and I don’t think it will improve. No government, no institution will solve this problem of crime,” he expressed.
Statement from the Prosecutor’s Office regarding the incident
Attorney General Ivan Carpio and Secretary of Security Leopoldo Aguilar held a press conference to discuss the events that occurred last Saturday in Ensenada.
During the conference, the authorities finally provided an official death toll: 10 dead and 10 injured, three of whom are in critical condition, while the rest have been discharged. A 13-year-old minor is among the victims, who accompanied his grandfather in the race and is currently in delicate condition undergoing surgery.
Five of the bodies have not been claimed at the Ensenada Forensic Medical Service (Semefo), which is heavily guarded by the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena) and State Police.
At least 13 weapons were involved in the confrontation last Saturday: nine long guns (two R-15 type and two AK-47 type) and four handguns, including .35 Super and 9mm caliber.
None of the weapons were found at the scene, but at least 253 shell casings were recovered from the confrontation.
Regarding the identity of two of the deceased, Ivan Carpio confirmed that the identified individual, Alonso Arambula Piña, also known as Sonrics or Pinocho, is the runner with number 15 and using the name Trebol, who the Security Council has information indicating involvement in drug trafficking.
Although the aforementioned individual known as Trébol announced his participation in the race “El Cachanillazo” through a public Instagram account, intelligence services were unable to detect any activity from the alleged criminal, confirmed the Attorney General.
The prosecutor also added that, in addition to the individual known as Trébol, other participants also have links to drug trafficking in the northern border region, as discussed during the state Security Council meeting.
