Jerry Seinfeld is most famous for the semi-fictional role he played on the comedy show ‘Seinfeld’, loosely based on himself. He had received awards for being the funniest male performer in a television series. He is an American comedian and actor. He is also a writer and a film/ television producer. Jerry’s father, Kálmán Seinfeld, worked as a sign maker. His mother, Betty (née Hesney), was of Syrian Jewish descent. His maternal grandparents, Selim and Salha Hosni, were immigrants who were originally based in Aleppo. While Jerry was still young, his parents decided to move to Massepequa, Long Island and took him and his sister Carolyn along with them. Jerry Seinfeld says that he inherited great sense of humor from his father and that his parents were always very loving.
