Second Album
The following year, Cotillion Records released Gill’s second solo album titled Chemistry, which received less commercial success.

1987 was a year of career changes for Gill. Michael Bivins, an American singer and actor, recruited him to join New Edition.
The R&B group gained popularity in the late 80s.
After Gill’s introduction, the group released an album titled “Heart Break” in 1988.

In 2014, Gill started his own record label, J Skillz Records, and released a new album titled Game Changer.
