Eagle-eyed Bold & Beautiful fans were the first to notice that the credits had begun listing a new cast member: Romy Park as Poppy. And in the October 6 episode of television’s most fashionable soap (recapped here), we learned exactly who she is.
Turns out Poppy is Luna’s free-spirited mother and the woman who called to warn her not to get mixed up with the Forresters. (So much for all of our wild guesses!) But wait, there’s more…

Poppy is also Li’s sister — and apparently will hit the roof if she finds out that her niece is interning at Forrester Creations. Now, why Li would be so bent out of shape over Luna’s internship remains a bit of a mystery. Even if the doctor is super driven, would she be so invested in the niece she’s never mentioned that she’d blow a gasket over a job that she doesn’t like for the young woman?
Maybe Li just looks at all of the troubles that have rained down on son Finn since he married into the Forrester family and would raise hell to see that neither Luna nor anyone else suffers the same misfortune?
SPECULATION Closing credits have shown a new character “Poppy”. She’s played by Romy Park. Romy is Asian like Luna so we can assume that Poppy will be Luna’s mother. If Park looks familiar, it may be because you’ve seen her on The Rookie: Feds, Ghost Whisperer or Commander-in-Chief. In 2019, she also hosted Romy and Dan’s High School Reunion Podcast with Days of Our Lives leading man Dan Feurriegel (EJ). As you can see, among their guests was Geoff Pierson, the former Ryan’s Hope star who’s gone on to carve out an enviable career in primetime and movies.
