Who Is Rachelle Lefevre Married To

Rachelle Lefevre, seen here in Fox

LOS ANGELES – When Rachelle Lefevre was in Wilmington shooting the third season of CBS’s “Under the Dome” in 2015, she wasn’t just keeping the secrets of the Stephen King thriller. She was also protecting one of her own.

During production on what would be the show’s final season, Lefevre got married to chef Chris Crary in a secret local ceremony.

“We went across the river and got married in Leland,” Lefevre revealed earlier this month while promoting her new show, Fox’s “Proven Innocent,” at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in Los Angeles. “We haven’t talked about it much, but it was such a wonderful moment. The entire cast and crew was at the wedding. That place is so special to me.”

Lefevre periodically lived in Wilmington for three years while making the CBS summer series, the initial success of which helped ignite a firestorm of summer programming on broadcast networks.

Sequestered away from bustling big cities like Los Angeles and New York, the Canadian native said she still looks back fondly on the connections she made among the cast and crew.

“I came away from ‘Under the Dome’ knowing we became dear friends and we’re all still really good friends,” she said. “I had it in my heart that I wanted that in my next project.”

Lefevre has never been one to hide her admiration for the Cape Fear region. While in town, she volunteered on several occasions with Habitat for Humanity, lending a hand in the construction of homes on Marstellar and Stanley streets.

In January, she will be seen on Fox’s buzzy new drama “Proven Innocent,” where she plays Madeline, a lawyer dedicated to taking on wrongful conviction cases after she was convicted of a murder she didn’t commit as a teenager.

The show co-stars Kelsey Grammer as a corrupt attorney with a history of wrongful convictions, including Madeline’s.

With production on the series slated to begin this fall, Lefevre is far from her “Dome” days. But the Port City still left an impression.

“I took so much with me from my time in Wilmington,” she said. “It is near and dear to my heart.”
