Riley has been tied to the sports industry from a very young age thanks to her NFL father who has a Hall of Fame history as well.

Who is Riley Gaines’ father, Brad?
Riley’s father is Brad Gaines who played football at Vanderbilt. As per reports, Brad was a running back and broke the DuPont rushing record when he gained 1,324 yards in his senior season in 1985.

His skill and talent were seen by many. This also allowed him to become a part of The Tennessean All-Metro Team as a defensive back. However, he decided to go for Vanderbilt over Texas as he loved the idea of playing the offense.
Throughout his career, Brad continued to make and break several records. This helped him enter the DuPont All-Sports Hall of Fame along with his siblings, Chris and Greg.

Riley and her father are pretty close
Riley has always spoken highly about her parents and stated that they always pushed her to try different sports. This does not come as a surprise given that Brad was a football player while Riley’s mother, Telisha Gaines, was a softball player.

Time and again Riley has taken to social media platforms such as Instagram to thank her parents for their support. In fact, on Father’s Day Riley did not hesitate to share a sweet message for her father as she wrote: “Happy Father’s Day to the only man that can rock a tank top like you do and p.s. you don’t have to write ‘Dad’ at the end of every text. I have your number.”
Brad Gaines has always supported his children
Like Riley, her sister also excels in sports. Taylor has played softball and credited her parents for her success.
In an interview, she said: “Both of my parents have a lot of experience and they can give more advice than other parents who probably don’t really know about the sports their kids are playing.”
Riley echoed similar thoughts as she said: “It pushes me, but it’s not pressure because with everything they’ve done, it’s kind of like it’s in our blood. You feel like it gives you an edge.
