Last June, chef Meredith Hayden, known by her TikTok username of “wishbonekitchen,” began posting videos that show her life in detail working as a live-in private chef for a family in the Hamptons. She vlogs herself waking up in the early hours of the morning picking fresh herbs from the family’s garden, prepping a massive breakfast and getting ready to make dinner for huge birthday parties, all with a Diet Coke in hand.

The “Walmart Martha Stewart” (as she lovingly brands herself online) quickly gained massive success, accruing over 1.6 million subscribers — and she wasn’t alone. Videos of professionally-trained chefs shopping at Hamptons farmer’s markets and preparing colorful, delicious-looking meals for notables like fashion designer Joseph Altazurra have gone viral on TikTok, gaining chefs hundreds of thousands of followers and views on the platform.

We rounded up a few of the most popular chefs who have headed to the seaside for the summer — here are the chefs to watch who may inspire your own hot months cooking:
Wishbone Kitchen (Meredith Hayden)
The founder of “a day in my life as a private chef in the Hamptons”-Tok, Hayden had grown from simply showing off her recipes to vlogging her life to sitting by the runway watching her boss’s fashion show. Still, the Conde Nast alum is sharing her mouth-watering recipes from the Long Island coast. As of June 2023, she had over 1.6 million followers on TikTok.
broccoliraab (Rob Li)
The mysterious chef Rob Li is mostly silent in his TikToks, where he prepares vibrant meals for an unnamed “b*llionaire.” Although he doesn’t mention much about the identity of his boss or his personal life on the platform, his recipes, ranging from ratatouille to tiramisu, are loved by followers. In his Wooden Spoon profile, he writes, “in my kitchen, anything goes.” As of June, he boasts over 250,000 followers.

Chef and food stylist Juliana White bridges the gap between the glamorous private chef vlogs with easy-to-make recipes for the everyday TikTok viewer. As of June 2023, she has garnered over 17,000 followers.
Dyanne Iandoli
Culinary director, chef and self-proclaimed “anchovy advocate” Dyanne Iandoli has over 17,000 followers on TikTok. She has opened the door for non-chefs to understand how these culinary experts operate on a day-to-day basis — she posts Q-and-A style videos explaining how she selects her menus and how she works with her clients, as well as daily vlogs.
Seth Boylan
New to the Hampton private chef TikTok game, Seth Boylan has posted videos of himself being challenged to cook meals with only what his client has in the house as well as montages of deliciously gooey brownies and vlogs of his days off. As of June, he has over 8,000 followers.
Kara Fauerbach
Chef Kara Fauerbach’s intimate videos show her carefully-crafted meals, ranging from chicken marbella to grilled artichokes and strawberry rhubarbs. Set against styled-yet-natural backgrounds, her videos give TikTok audiences a glimpse into the chic Hampton lifestyle. She boasts over 64,000 followers.
