General Hospital spoilers are throwing out all kinds of scenarios regarding the identity of Dev Cerci’s biological father. Prior to the soap halting production, spoilers had been saying that his dad is someone currently living in Port Charles. Soap Dirt is now offering a different scenario, which could turn out to be the correct one. They are suggesting that the teen’s mom might be Jax, and Sonny’s former flame, Brenda Barrett. Longtime GH viewers might remember that a number of years ago Brenda was involved with Aleksander Janacek, who was the son of The Balkan. He had ties to the mob and became abusive towards her and she fled to New York. He followed her there and Soap Dirt says Brenda shot him but Wiki Fandom says that Sonny’s son Dante was Brenda’s bodyguard and he killed Aleksander.

it was while in New York Ms. Barrett later found out she was pregnant and when she was in her seventh Aleksander’s mother drugged her. Brenda went into premature labor and when the child was born his grandmother took him away. She told Brenda the boy had died during childbirth and hid him for three years, at which time mother and son were reunited. Brenda planned to raise her little boy with Sonny, whom she was married to at that time. Unfortunately, Sonny’s mob life proved too dangerous and Brenda took her son and moved back to Rome. This was the last time she was seen in Port Charles. Some viewers have been longing for her return ever since.

Soap Dirt suggests that Brenda may have told her son about Sonny and that is why Dev came to Port Charles to spend time with him. This is a long shot but anything is possible on the soaps. If Brenda was a loving mother, then why was Dev living on the streets? Viewers will recall that Dev connected with Sonny in Turkey and the teen followed him back to Port Charles. One thing to keep in mind is the fact that earlier spoilers said Dev’s father is in Port Charles and currently on General Hospital. Could it be, that someone Sonny and Brenda hooked up and the teen really does belong to Sonny?

Decades ago on Days of Our Lives, Hope Brady was pregnant during a time she was not with Bo. The writers changed history and inserted a crazy flashback where Bo and Hope had made love one night without realizing it and the child belonged to the two of them. Fans will be eager to find out the truth about Dev because he never talks about his alleged parents back in Turkey. There are secrets where this young man is concerned and the Brenda possibility would bring a lot of drama with it. Ms. Barrett and Carly cannot stand each other and both have been with Sonny and Jax, which also causes friction. A number of viewers have said they want Vanessa Marcel to return to her role as Brenda, so perhaps this would be a way to do it.

One thing that is certain is that Dev cannot indefinately remain with Sonny and Carly without this sitution being resolved, General Hospital viewers know there is a great mystery surrounding him and are eager to figure it out. The new episodes of General Hospital should be on screen sometime in late August or September if everything goes as planned.
