Who is Tre Twitty? Tre Twitty is the late country legend Conway Twitty’s grandson. His sound is different from his grandfather’s and yet there is still a subtle resemblance, enough to make one hear the voice of the master every now and then.

Tre grew up in a music business family as his father was also a musician. As a nod to his grandfather, Tre performs Conway’s song to help keep his legacy alive.

Conway Twitty was born Harold Lloyd Jenkins on September 1, 1933 and he passed away on June 5, 1993.

Connection Between the Twitty and Lynn Families

During his esteemed career Twitty, played across the rock, R&B, and pop genres. He and Loretta Lynn performed a series of duets from 1971 to 1976, which resulted in multiple awards for the pair.

Twitty received a string of Country Music Association awards for duets with Loretta Lynn. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.

It was reported that Tre’s performance of Conway’s 1973 No. 1 hit, “You’ve Never Been This Far Before” mesmerized the audience with a sound eerily similar to that of a younger version of his Conway.

45 years prior Conway Twitty topped the Billboard country albums chart with that very same tune, “You’ve Never Been This Far Before.”

Country Music News: Tre Twitty Duets with a Legendary Country Kin

As we mentioned Loretta Lynn and Conway were frequent duet partners. Lynn is one of the most iconic and instantly recognizable country singers via her hit “Coal Miner’s Daughter.”

In 2018, Conway Twitty’s grandson, Tre Twitty, and Loretta Lynn’s children and grandchildren, including Tayla Lynn, got together to pay tribute to Conway and Loretta at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch.

It was a simple concert but full of meaning for all involved. They performed the classic songs of the former country duo and the concert was fun as well as memorable.
