Just like that, Adam’s time on General Hospital has come to an end. The good news is, he’s leaving on his terms, having told his pressuring pop to buzz off and that he’s going to make it through college on his terms, in his own way. His suicide attempt had us a little worried, but even though this may be the end of his time in Port Charles, it isn’t the end of Adam forever!

And while Soap Opera Digest confirms that Joshua Benard wrapped up his five-month stint on Thursday, February 1, the door’s still open for more Adam down the line.
And that’s a far cry from what we expected back when the troubled young first appeared back in 2022 and had us all convinced he was just a skeezy jerk. But then he came back to apologize and the show slowly built him out, showing how the layers of pressure and fear he was constantly under were wearing him down. We grew to care for him, and watching him spiral further and further out of control, despite Joss’ best efforts, was painful to watch.
Now, hopefully, that he’s survived what we hope is the worst and stood up to his father, he can truly start living life. Perhaps, if he returns down the line, we’ll meet a happier, more stable Adam. And if that’s the case, we could even see him truly vying for Josslyn’s heart.

Heck, that’s what we thought he might be doing back when he started this latest stint, and we’re always up for a good love triangle! Plus, there’d be so many extra layers to this one after what Joss and Dex went through with Adam.
Time will tell, of course, but between Benard’s considerable acting chops and his ties to General Hospital, we have a feeling there may be more of his story to tell down the line. In the meantime, we wish the young actor the best!
