-Major League Baseball just implemented its biggest rule change in decades: the pitch clock. It has dramatically sped up the pace of play – and shortened games by nearly 30 minutes. That means there’s no longer time for “tall boy” beers of the past. Shorter games mean shorter beers, so Bally Sports has introduced Bally Sports Short Boys, a stubby 8.4 oz can of summer suds. The company was inspired by classic beer ads from the 1970s, complete with a jingle by Butter Music and Sound, and written and sung by Butter creative director Max Schad. Bally Sports used the song’s lyrics to tell the Short Boys story and paired it with over-the-top tiny can visuals. There’s also a cameo by hall of fame pitcher Randy Johnson.
