Who Makes Honda Oem Rotors

Honda Brakes Buying Guide

How They Work. It’s simple. Step on the brake pedal in your Honda vehicle, and it slows down. Step on it long enough, and it eventually stops. What brake systems do to make that happen, however, is more complicated.

Your ride’s master brake cylinder acts first. It pushes brake fluid down hoses and lines to the brake calipers, which clamp brake pads onto brake rotors. (If you’re driving an older model, it may press brake shoes to brake drums instead.) The pads and rotors (alternatively, shoes and drums) create friction during contact. This friction does the slowing and stopping. Newer vehicles may also get help from control modules or wheel speed sensors.

How You Tell When to Replace Them. Look for the symptoms. A brake warning light is one of the most obvious. Other signs include abnormal brake shuddering and noise and an overly low or soft-feeling brake pedal. There are worse symptoms yet. They include reduced brake grip, taking longer to stop, and pulling sideways unintentionally when braking. The most serious sign of brake problems, however, is grinding. It often indicates brakes gone bad, with real-time rotor damage happening because of degraded brake pads.

Why Buy Brake Parts from Honda OEM Parts Online?

They’re OEM, meaning Honda manufactures them – up to exacting brand standards, too. They’ll come guaranteed compatible with your Honda model, whether that’s a car like Honda Accord, a Honda CR-V SUV, a minivan such as Honda Odyssey, or otherwise. In other words, they’ll fit and work in it just like factory Honda brake parts. They’re more affordable than if you bought them from a Honda dealership; you’ll usually pay less than MSRP to start, depending on type and what model you drive, and you can often get an even bigger discount from there. They’re covered by manufacturer warranties. So, if you notice any unlikely defects in materials or workmanship, with any brake part, Honda can take care of things.

Aftermarket brakes and parts, however, may not always be up to Honda quality standards; they may not fit or work as well as OE; and they may not give you the peace of mind that brakes with warranty support would.
