Who Owns Beacon Plumbing

Auburn, Washington – In a joint announcement today, Beacon Plumbing owner and president Bill Cahill and Strong Racing owner Darrell Strong revealed plans to add Strong’s U-9 under Beacon Plumbing sponsorship for the 2023 H1 Unlimited season. As previously announced, Strong Racing’s U-8 will be named Beacon Electric, driven by J. Michael Kelly. The U-9 will be named Beacon Plumbing with 2022 APBA Gold Cup winner Corey Peabody at the wheel.

In announcing the plan to sponsor both Strong Racing hydros, Cahill said “Once I decided to help bring the Gold Cup back to Seattle as Presenting Sponsor, it just made sense to increase the chances of a Beacon sponsored boat winning with two of the fastest boats on the circuit.” Strong added “I’m very pleased that Bill saw the wisdom of sponsoring a two boat team for 2023. We’re in the process of updating both our hulls, making them faster than they’ve ever been, and I’m looking forward to winning under the Beacon banner this season. We see a lot of advantages in the two boat plan and I can’t wait to see the results!”
