Roanoke, Virginia – December 20, 2023. Roanoke, Virginia based Retirement Unlimited, Inc. (“RUI”), and Mount Laurel, New Jersey based Brandywine Living today announced RUI’s acquisition of Brandywine Living’s senior living management platform. Both RUI and Brandywine have a distinguished history of providing high-quality care and hospitality to seniors, and following the transaction, the combined company will consist of 59 communities with over 6,739 independent living, assisted living and memory care units.
Brandywine’s 31 senior living communities are predominately concentrated in New Jersey, with additional communities located in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New York, and Pennsylvania. Following the transaction, the communities will continue to operate under the premiere Brandywine Living brand to ensure continuity for both residents and staff. RUI has a 40-year track record of operational excellence and currently manages 28 communities across the East Coast. This integration will deepen RUI’s presence in premium northeast and midAtlantic micromarkets and allow RUI to deliver to more seniors a lifestyle that residents have earned and deserve. William Fralin will be Chief Executive Officer and Doris-Ellie Sullivan will serve as President of the combined company with key property- and corporatelevel leaders from Brandywine blending with RUI’s leadership structure to ensure a seamless integration into RUI.
