Who Owns Jackson Park Hospital

(CONCORD, CALIFORNIA, USA) VEP Healthcare, Inc. (Operating as US Acute Care Solutions as of June 2021) acquired and now manages the emergency department (ED) services at Jackson Park Hospital & Medical Center in Chicago. This acquisition marks the second entry into the city.

With a proven track record of improving emergency department services in major urban, smaller community, and rural hospitals nationwide, the organization was a perfect fit, collaborating closely with partner hospitals to achieve multiple advantages: increased efficiency, greater cost savings, improved patient throughput, reduced malpractice rates, and lower left-without-being-seen rates.

Jackson Park Hospital & Medical Center is a 256-bed, short-term comprehensive acute care facility on the south side of Chicago. The hospital serves a very high indigent population, with approximately 80 percent of patients covered by Medicare and Medicaid. The emergency department handles approximately 25,000 patient visits annually with full-time attending physician coverage, nurse practitioners, resident physicians, and medical students.

We are very excited to be working with the professionals at Jackson Park Hospital to deliver the highest quality care to the people of Chicago. A great city deserves great healthcare, and that’s what both of these superb facilities deliver.
