Who Owns Ripndip

Ryan O’Connor – Turning Your Passion into a Career. Ryan O’Connor knows all about this. It is exactly what he has done, and he is a shining example of what happens when you work with what you love.

For Ryan O’Connor – Doing What You Love is not only a career, it is a way of life. He started out by offering his items for free, and built this into a successful business with an impressive array of merchandise. Ryan O’Connor, as an enthusiast himself, knows all about what appeals to members of the skater community. He knows the looks that are important, and the accessories. He knows the designs that appeal to the crowd. This is the enormous benefit of working in a field in which you already have a strong background – you know it inside and out, and you know the sorts of innovations that are going to go over well.

Ryan O’Connor’s business knowhow is evident in everything he does and everything he offers. Even the name of his company is the right one. His skateboarding tag signature was “RipNDip”, and the popularity of this signature led him to print it on his first series of t-shirts. These were then handed out, free of charge, at local skate parks. A wise investment indeed, as it turned out. Although O’Connor did not make any money out of this action, he did gain a tremendous amount of free advertising. Word of mouth is very influential, as O’Connor knows, and it certainly was in his case.

Having established his tag signature as a t-shirt slogan, it was only natural that O’Connor would start up his own business, as indeed he did. He started Rip N Dip clothing in 2009, and it was a smash hit. He was already well known to the skating community, and the popularity of his creations has never waned. His store contains an impressive variety of items, almost all of them with the motif of a white cat. Among the fascinating pieces of merchandise available are tote bags, hoodies, button down shirts, tie-dye, baseball caps, watches, condoms, patches, and decals. Yes, condoms – they come in a pink box, also with a white cat printed on it.

Now based in Los Angeles, Ryan O’Connor has a physical store which is also highly popular. Clearly, he knows how to be in the right place at the right time, and how to make the most of it.
