I too will be extremely pissed if It gets to the end of the show and I can poke holes in the storyline. I have obsessed about this show way too much for it to turn out a flop. So I try to have faith in the writers.
Now MY TAKE ON THE REDCOAT digging up the grave thing is multi optional:

- Alison & Mona worked together and dug up the grave – Alison was wearing a red coat and Alison mask and they dug up the grave to retrieve the body so that people would not know that she was alive. If Mona really did help Alison fake her death and she really wanted her to stay hidden then they would need to make sure the body was not identified as anyone else because then people would suspect Alison was alive. But then I am left wondering why Alison was wearing that outfit and mask!!! why not dress as Vivian or something to go incognito??? Unless they planned for Emily to be there and they were trying to jolt her subconcious into realizing Alison was still alive. This might also explain why the liars special items from the coffin were sent back to them. Alison and Mona would have been the only ones who knew the significance of those items. This would fit with the lodge fire incident because Mona was going to help Alison/red coat be united with the liars.
- Someone else & Mona dug up the grave – someone else was wearing a red coat and Alison mask and they dug up the grave to retrieve the body so that they could swap the body and return a different body on the ghost train. Because Mona could see that it was inevitable that Alison would return….They made sure the different body would be identified as Bethany Young. This way they could get Alison arrested for Bethany’s murder. Making the grave digging part of a long running plan to win the game back from Alison. The reason “someone else” was wearing that outfit and mask was because they had drugged Emily and lured her there and they needed Emily to think that Alison was in charge. So that the liars would start to hate her and when she returned they would turn against her. This would fit in with the lodge fire incident because Mona was going to have this “someone else” meet up with the liars and finally show them their story and convince them never to side with Alison.
- A combination of the above options – maybe sometimes Mona was helping Alison and sometimes not. Maybe Alison and Mona dug up the grave to destroy evidence of Alison being alive, then someone set up the Bethany body to frame someone else for her murder later. I would also like to note that Garrett would have benefitted from the correct exhumation of the body….. So I guess that whoever dug body up wanted him to stay in jail and go down for the murder of “Alison”. but then whoever set up the anklet helped get him off anyway. Then he was killed anywat……not sure how to piece all that it but I’m sure it will fall into place once we know eactly who dug the grave up.
I am rambling on with too much info now but…….I want to point out Emily was wearing her jacket at the graveyard when the body was being dug up. Then she left it at the diner where she met Jenna and Noel. She then returned to the gravyeard to be found by the liars without her jacket.!!!!! you can see this in the flashbacks.
call out to anyone that has any other logical explanations for this incident or an explanation for the whole redcoat thing…….
