FISHER Stevens has unleashed his hotly-anticipated Netflix documentary, Beckham.
Stevens is not only a talented filmmaker, he is also an actor, and has starred in two HUGE television shows – including a very famous sitcom.

Who is Fisher Stevens?
Born in Chicago on November 27, 1963, Fisher Stevens is a director, writer and producer, as well as a stage and screen actor.
As an actor he shot to fame as Ben in Short Circuit (1986), and Short Circuit 2 (1988), alongside Steve Guttenberg.
Fisher is also a documentary film maker, and an Academy Award winner.
The talented star has a Broadway career spanning nearly three decades.

Fisher revealed he was put in touch with David Beckham by Leonardo DiCaprio.
It came about after Becks had told movie star Leo that he wanted to do a Netflix documentary.
The result was a four-part series called Beckham, that charts the footie ace’s rise to fame.

Speaking to Variety, he said “This guy (David Beckham), his life was so operatic and so big.
“My inspiration [for the documentary] was, like, watching a Puccini opera.”
“I didn’t really know much about him other than, you know, he was kind of a good-looking brand guy married to a Spice Girl.”
Fisher ended up spending more than 30 hours interviewing Becks over the course of two years.
Fisher admitted: “I definitely felt like I was his therapist.” .
“Nothing was really off limits,” he says of the conversations, all caught on camera. “I felt like I could have gone anywhere.”
Talking about taking on the project, Fisher said: “I thought I was making a portrait of working-class England.
“But as I started to explore, and get deeper into David and David’s journey, his life, there’s just so much more.
“And then I realized I’m making a love story. Not just about David and Victoria, but about David and his love for football.”

In the very first season of Friends, actor Fisher played the role of Phoebe’s psychiatrist boyfriend Roger.
Succession fans will also recognise him from his role as Hugo Baker.
He appeared in three seasons of HBO’s hit series as Waystar Royco’s publicist.
Fisher is also known for starring in It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
