Who Went Home On Holiday Baking Championship This Week

As five bakers enter the Food Network kitchen, only one will emerge from the Holiday Baking Championship Season 10 finale with the title. Which baker will impress the judges one more time?

According to Food Network, the Holiday Baking Championship Season 10 finale, “Holiday Gifts Galore,” features the following:

“It’s the season finale, and the last five bakers face three challenges. Christmas Eve is filled with so much excitement and so many gifts, and the sweetest gift of all is a plate of cookies for Santa. For the final preheat, host Jesse Palmer wants the bakers to upgrade those cookies by making macaron wreaths for judges Carla Hall, Duff Goldman and Nancy Fuller! The bottom two bakers battle it out to see who makes it to the final main heat by taking on a stocking-stuffed eclairs challenge. Then, its “All aboard!” as the remaining four bakers make showstopping, championship-worthy holiday train cakes with actual trains running through them! In the end, a Holiday Baking Champion is crowned and takes home $25,000!”

The previous episode pushed the bakers with three challenges. In the end, that scenario saw a favorite, Javier, be eliminated. Could another favorite find a lump of coal waiting for them in this episode, too? It is not the time to falter in the finale.

Looking at the preheat, macaron wreaths are not an easy challenge. In addition to presenting a lovely flavor, executing these cookies is a must. From the perfect foot to a lovely texture, these cookies need to be technically correct. It is no longer the time to make simple mistakes.

For the sudden death bake-off, the stocking-stuffed eclairs are another way for the judges to separate the technically superior bakers. While everyone should be able to make a pate a choux, there have been many mistakes in this Holiday Baking Championship season. Now is not the time to miscount eggs, over mix a dough, or under fill an éclair.

With the Main Heat, the cake challenge will definitely push the bakers. While there is one “cake lady,” Ashley, remaining in the competition, she may not have an edge in this challenge. Kevin has impressed with his creativity and visual prowess. He might have an edge in this particular display.

The idea of moving trains within the display is a curious idea for a challenge. There seems to be a slight engineering aspect to the challenge. Then again, this season has focused on unique displays. Who doesn’t remember the upside-down cake episode?

In the end, it will be the baker who does the best overall in all three Holiday Baking Championship Season 10 finale challenges who will earn the title. Given how tight the competition has been, it is impossible to predict a potential winner.

Be sure to tune into the Holiday Baking Championship Season 10 finale on Food Network, Monday, December 18 at 8 p.m. ET or stream the next day on MAX.
