Green flag, Hamlin gets the jump and he’s clear before turn one. Christopher Bell and Reddick run side by side for 2nd, Bell wins that battle.
Lap 12, Truex Jr dives inside of Bell into turn 7. Truex Jr to 2nd.

Sonoma RaceStage 2 – Report
Laps: 30 (26-55 / 110)
No caution at the end of stage one. The race resumes as Hamlin and most of the leaders head for the pits under green. Hamlin cycles right back to the race lead by 2 seconds.
Lap 32, Truex Jr has caught the race leader. He dives to the inside of Hamlin for the lead into turn 11. Hamlin shuts the door but he runs wide and Truex Jr fills the inside. Truex Jr slides him into turn two. Hamlin crosses back under him but Truex Jr holds him off to take the lead.
Lap 50, the caution is out for a tire that’s rolled to the middle of the pit lane.
Truex Jr and the rest of the leaders hit the pit lane. Kyle Busch cycles to the lead as he pitted just a few laps ago. Truex Jr restarts 10th.
Green, Busch clears Logano before turn one. Logano and Byron rub doors for 2nd.

Lap 61, Truex Jr is up to 4th with 8 laps fresher tires than the cars ahead. Michael McDowell is following him through the pack and running 5th on the same strategy.
Lap 63, Truex Jr has a run on Logano for 2nd into turn 11. He clears him and takes 2nd away. Kyle Busch leads Truex Jr by 2.8 seconds.
Lap 65, Austin Dillon is around in turn 11 with help from Ty Gibbs. He re-fires, no caution.
Lap 67, Truex Jr drives it deep to the inside in turn 7. Truex Jr clears him and returns to the lead!

36 to go, Truex Jr pits from the race lead under green.
30 to go, Truex Jr cycles back to the race lead. Reddick trails by 1.9 seconds.
19 to go, Denny Hamlin spins into turn 1 and tags the wall! The caution is out.
Truex Jr heads for the pit lane with the rest of the top 10. Elliott, Reddick and Blaney stay out on older tires.
Green, Elliott and Reddick run side by side into turn two. Elliott wins the battle. Truex Jr quickly works to 2nd.
14 to go, Truex Jr dives inside of Elliott into turn 7. Truex Jr returns to the lead.
8 to go, Truex Jr leads Busch by 1.1 seconds.
7 to go, Allmendinger slides Blaney for 7th. McDowell tags the bumper of Blaney and Blaney goes for a spin, no caution. Moments later, Chase Briscoe turns Blaney in turn two.
