FANS have shared theories that Golden Bachelor star Gerry Turner chose contestant Theresa Nist for a materialistic reason after spotting a clue.
The ABC star has been under fan scrutiny after The Golden Bachelor’s explosive finale aired this week.

Now viewers are convinced that Gerry, 72, decided to choose contestant Theresa Nist for a sinister reason after spotting a detail in a clip from the season.
Leading up to the finale episode, the official Bachelor social media accounts shared throwback videos from the season.
In one, Theresa, 70, spoke to the lead star about her career and her work in stock trading.
As the now-couple sat speaking toward the beginning of their relationship, Gerry said: “One of the things I wanted to ask you about was your career.”
The New Jersey native replied: “Oh yes, please ask me that.”
“You told me that you deal with securities, bonds, and a variety of investments?” he continued.
Theresa explained: “This one year, I decided to buy my first stock. Then I bought another stock and another one.
“And I actually started trading my own account and I became a day trader.”
Gerry responded: “So you’re a day trader?”
Theresa quipped back: “I became that, I’m not that now.”

But fans were convinced that the Golden Bachelor lead “lit up” when he realized that the contestant worked in finance.
Several took to the franchise’s social media page to state their theories about Gerry’s now-chosen partner.
“Anyone else notice Gerry’s face light up when he learned about how much money Teresa makes, when he previously couldn’t be more disinterested in being around her after being with Leslie?” one wrote.
“Teresa needs to rethink about marrying him so soon. He could be after her money, and it could be why he chose her,” a second advised.
“I think he went for the one he thought was more financially attractive,” a third claimed.
“Is it just me that thinks Gerry became a lot more interested in Teresa, after finding out about what she did to create her wealth??? I got questions…” a fourth noted.
FINAL ROSE
On Thursday night’s finale, Gerry proposed to Theresa.
Many fans were furious after the Golden Bachelor passed over Leslie Fhima, a 64-year-old fitness instructor from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
On the live show after the finale aired, Leslie spoke to host Jesse Palmer about how she felt.
“I was devastated,” she said.
“I haven’t fallen in love with someone for a very long time so it was hard.”
When Leslie asked Gerry where their relationship went wrong, he said: “It didn’t really go wrong, Leslie.

“It was just better with someone else.”
BREAK UP BLUES
In the finale, the midwestern TV personality brought Leslie and Theresa to Costa Rica for their final dates and the opportunity to meet his family.
While each meet-and-greet went well, Leslie could tell that something was wrong and approached Gerry about it.
He brushed it off as nothing but she persisted.
Later, alone in her suite, Leslie professed her love to Gerry who responded with: “That is such a lovely sentiment.”
She immediately began to cry, seemingly aware of what was happening.
Gerry left only to come back a few moments later to chat about his true feelings, telling Leslie: “When I left, you asked me if there was something I had to say to you… I’ve kind of made a decision about how I want to go about this and I have fallen in love with Theresa and that’s the direction I’m going to take.”
Her sadness turned to anger as she insisted: “So everything you told me the other night was a lie?”
Gerry responded with: “It wasn’t a lie … Because at that time, that was the truth.”
Leslie sobbed as she hit back: “The other night you made it seem like you chose me.
“You led me down a path and then you took a turn and left me there and that’s how I feel and it’s mindboggling to be honest how you can talk to me, tell me you love me and in one day – not even 12 hours later – you changed your mind.”
Golden Bachelor viewers slammed Gerry online for his behavior, with many ripping him as cowardly after he got down on one knee to propose to Theresa after dumping Leslie.
