He, however, posted a photo of his father on his Instagram Account on the 2nd of August 2018 stating that they were just hanging and chilling back in the day. He also posted a photo of his brother “malthompsonmusic” and cousin Brian on the 9th of June 2021. Then he stated that he was catching up with the for a relaxing few days in San Diego.
Asides from this, he posted a photo of his cousin, Maceyl Henderson on the 10th of July 2020. Then, he states that Maceyl had donated to him a kidney over 11 years before 2020. Thompson stated that she could only do this because of her selfless gift which has enabled him to travel and move across the country to further his life and career.

Thompson works with ABC15 News where he serves the station as a Consumer Reporter and Midday Anchor. The long-time television journalist was previously working for both the ABC and CBS stations in Sacramento, California. He is a proud native of the Midwest and was raised in Indianapolis. Thompson is a proud graduate of Indiana University Bloomington. There, he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Through his journalism career, he has had the privilege of going across the country. He landed his first-morning anchor job after college down south at WRBL in Columbus, Georgia. After this, he worked in Indianapolis, Grand Rapids, Atlanta, and Sacramento.
This was his first stint in the desert but after dealing with cold and snow for most of his life. He states that he does not mind the heat and loves swimming laps and spending time by the pool. Away from work, he loves staying active by riding his bike and playing basketball.

He can also be found in the RC field flying helicopters, drones, and remote-controlled airplanes. He is a sports nut and is always staying true to his hometown Colts and Pacers. Thompson stated that he is looking forward to checking out the Coyotes, Suns, Diamondbacks, and Cardinals. He also loves getting out in the community and states that he cannot wait to meet all the great people of Arizona.
