Star Wars fans have come up with countless theories about the true identity of the mysterious inquisitor. However, none were as committed to concealing their true self as Marrok. Perhaps there was a specific reason for the secrecy.
Piecing together the clues, fans now believe that Marrok was not a person at all, but rather a reanimated puppet under Morgan’s control. We know Morgan was a Nightsister of Dathomir, and her arsenal of dark side powers likely included necromancy. Marrok never spoke or interacted with anyone, and his immediate disintegration after being wounded by Ahsoka’s blade strongly suggests that he was merely animated through mystical means.
Now, the question remains: was Marrok once an Inquisitor, or did Morgan revive a random individual and grant them the power of a lightsaber? Given Marrok’s formidable skills, the former seems more plausible.
