Why Did Sellen Turn Into A Ball

Elden Ring is full of questlines and NPCs to find. Completing some of these questlines allows players to unlock hidden Elden Ring endings. One odd questline in the game is Sorceress Sellen’s questline. After finishing it, you might ask one question: Why does Sellen transform and turn hostile at the end of her quest line?

If you do the Sellen questline in Elden Ring a certain way, Sellen transforms into a Glinstone ball with many stone faces inside the Grand Library in the Academy of Ray Lucaria. Many people think that all these crystal heads you find worldwide are because of the magic they use. It is like a curse that they turn into a magic ball at the end of their life.

Why Does Sellen Turn Into A Ball?

Sellen is a sorceress you can talk to at the Waypoint Ruins in Limgrave. You need to go there and fight the boss guarding her room. Once you defeat it, you can talk to her Spectral body. She is a magic user that sells Sorceries to you, and you can also give her books to increase her stock. Once you talk to her, you start her questline.

Her questline is decently long, so if you are confused about what to do, you can look up how to track and complete it. It is a relatively confusing quest because you must go to all sections of the map to find the objects and talk to different people. Not many people know who she is exactly, but she says she was a former student at the Academy of Ray Lucaria.

She was kicked out for using forbidden Magic, which is why she is locked away. Towards the end of her questline, she eventually turns into a giant ball of stone faces.

As we said before, you see these roaming around pretty often, but they have cursed students from the Academy. She used forbidden Magic, so people think that she was cursed because of that.

She also defeated a lot of other Sorcerers, so other people think it was a curse for killing soo, many previous students. It is by far one of the most intriguing questlines, and it is one you should check out. Try not to kill any NPCs right away because you will ruin a bunch of interesting questlines for yourself.
