Trippie Redd has explained why he had to cancel his tour — he’s welcomed a baby boy into the family.
Trippie was slated to trek across North America for his Take Me Away Tour, but canceled it without an explanation earlier this year.

The Ohio rapper finally clarified everything on his Instagram Story last week. The tour is not happening, he said, because daddy duties were calling.
“You guys have been talking about tour and why I canceled it. You want an explanation, so boom,” Trippie said. “I’m dropping a project named Saint Michael, right? What if I was to tell you that’s my son’s name, and I canceled tour because I had to deliver my son?”
“Life be life-ing,” he added. “Y’all sitting there, bashing me, saying all this crazy stuff. And here I’m just bringing my child into the world, you know?”

Trippie then gave fans a glimpse of his baby boy by posting the infant to his Instagram Story. The child’s name is Saint Michael White, which aligns with the title of the rapper’s new EP.
Saint Michael arrived on Friday (November 10) and is free of features throughout the seven tracks.

It’s still unclear who the mother of the child is, as Trippie and his girlfriend Skye Morales split over the summer. The 24-year-old publicly apologized in August for cheating on Morales.
“Just wanted to publicly apologize to Skye,” he began. “Do not be mad at her I cheated she not have had the best attitude with me but she was the most loyal partner I ever had and I lost her.
“I just want u guys to be better than me [100 emoji] so if u find someone that makes u feel special think before u do wen ur mad I will never forgive myself for this shit ever [broken heart emoji].
He continued: “I’m sorry Skye I don’t even want u to forgive me I just want u to know I understand I feel it I’m a fucking idiot I promise u nun of it was worth wat I had.
“Wats done in the dark always comes to light and yea I hate myself fuck I all the people that have been waiting for this to happen I hate u [100 emoji] not as much as I hate myself tho.”
