A Duolingo spokesperson told Distractify: “The melting Duo you see is a new app icon that learners will see for a limited time. If learners have the latest version of the Duolingo app downloaded, they should see melting Duo as the app icon. The purpose of the new app icon is to encourage learners to open the app.”

Duolingo is available for download on Apple and Android mobile devices as well as desktop devices.
To download the app, you simply need to go to the app store and search for Duolingo.
Those who don’t have the latest version of the app can also update existing versions in order to see the melting owl logo.
