What is Claire’s motive?
When Claire was first introduced, she seemed like the typical ambitious young career woman. However, it soon became apparent there was more to her than meets the eye.
A few weeks ago, Claire was alone in her hotel suite looking a photos of the Newman family. But she paid particular attention to Nikki.

It was obvious Claire had some type of connection to the Newmans, especially Nikki. With Claire’s devious plan in full swing, it won’t be long before the writers reveal why she went after Nikki.
The number one theory is that Claire is related to Nikki. Claire could be the daughter of Nikki’s sister Casey. Since Casey was just recently mentioned, that seemed like a hint that this scenario is possible.
Another theory is that Claire could be Dylan’s daughter. Dylan never had any children, but it’s possible he could’ve had a secret child before he came to Genoa City. Claire could even be Dylan and Avery’s daughter, who is believed to have died.
Other theories about Claire’s identity include being the relative or partner of one of Nikki’s former enemies.
According to Soap Opera Spy, speculation is Claire could be the niece or daughter of Veronica Landers seeking revenge. Veronica is the ex-wife of Nikki’s late husband Joshua Landers. Decades ago Veronica killed Joshua, then later tried to murder Nikki. However, Veronica died after being impaled by a pitchfork during a struggle with Nikki.

Then there’s Ian Ward, the cult leader who made Nikki’s life hell. Just when Nikki thinks she’s done with Ian, he pops back up. Claire could be one of his loyal followers willing to help him torture Nikki.
Then last but not least, there’s also the chance that Claire could just be an obsessed fan of Nikki, who wants a taste of the rich life.
Will Nikki be rescued?
Claire’s motive for harming Nikki will play out in the next few days. It’ll be edge-of-your-seat drama as Nikki tries to escape. Meanwhile, back in Genoa City, the Newmans will worry and come up with a plan to save Nikki.
Time is of the essence the longer Claire has Nikki. Although things look gloom and doom for the Newman matriarch, she’s a survivor.
As for Claire, her future is uncertain. But her actions won’t be forgotten by Nikki, who’ll be haunted by the ordeal.
