Joe Burrow Thinks He’ll Be Throwing By OTAs
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist) thinks he can be ready to throw by organized team activities this offseason, but he’s not completely sure of his timeline as he recovers from season-ending surgery on his right wrist. The 27-year-old signal-caller had a lost season in 2023, first suffering a calf injury in training camp that kept him out of the preseason and was responsible for both him and the Bengals offense getting off to a slow start in the regular season. Burrow’s wrist injury caused him to miss the final seven games, and he finished with a career-low 2,309 passing yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions in 10 games. Even if Burrow isn’t quite ready to throw by OTAs this spring, he should be fully recovered by the time training camp starts at the end of July.

Joe Burrow Undergoes Successful Surgery Monday
The Cincinnati Bengals announced on Monday that quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist) underwent successful surgery on his injured right wrist. “The procedure went as planned and he is expected to make a complete recovery. Joe will return to Cincinnati this week to be with the team and begin the recovery and rehab process,” the team said in a statement. Burrow tore a ligament in his right wrist in the Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and will be forced to miss the rest of what was an injury filled 2023 campaign for the 26-year-old. With better health in 2024, Burrow could be a nice QB1 bounce-back target in fantasy drafts. Jake Browning lost his first game as the starter in Week 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and will lead Cincy’s offense the rest of the way.

Joe Burrow To Have Wrist Surgery Monday
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist) will undergo surgery on his wrist on Monday, according to sources. The expectation is that Burrow will make a full recovery for the 2024 season. Regardless of how far the Bengals advance in the playoffs if they were to qualify, head coach Zac Taylor said Burrow’s season is over. The 26-year-old tore a ligament in his right wrist in the Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, and the Bengals officially put him on Injured Reserve on Saturday. Burrow’s 2023 season seemed doomed from the start when he strained his calf early in training camp. It forced him to miss all of the preseason, and he came out of the gates in the regular season not 100 percent and limited in his mobility. Both Burrow and the Bengals offense took some time to click, and when they finally did, he suffered the season-ending wrist injury.

Bengals Officially Put Joe Burrow On Injured Reserve
The Cincinnati Bengals officially placed quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist) on Injured Reserve and elevated quarterback AJ McCarron from the practice squad to the active roster in a corresponding move for Sunday’s Week 12 contest against the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers. This move should come as no surprise to anyone, as Burrow is going to miss the rest of the season due to a torn ligament in his right wrist that he suffered in the Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The Bengals will move forward with Jake Browning under center from here on out, and the coaching staff isn’t planning on changing the offensive game plan all that much with the change in QBs. Fantasy managers in single-year leagues can safely drop Burrow from their rosters at this point.

Joe Burrow’s Season Is Over
The Cincinnati Bengals announced on Friday that quarterback Joe Burrow (thumb) will miss the rest of the season after reportedly tearing a ligament in his right wrist in the Thursday night loss to the Baltimore Ravens. It’s a monumental blow to the Bengals and fantasy managers. Any chance the Bengals might have had to make the playoffs this year likely went up in flames when the 26-year-old was hurt in Week 11. It was a frustrating year for Burrow, who started off slow due to a calf injury that caused him to miss all of training camp and the preseason. He finishes with 2,309 passing yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions in 10 games. The Bengals will be forced to trek on with quarterback Jake Browning under center, which will lower the fantasy value of all of the team’s offensive skill players as a result the rest of the way.

Bengals Believe Joe Burrow Has A Wrist Sprain
Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said the belief is that quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist) has a sprained right wrist. Burrow exited Thursday’s eventual 34-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens with the injury in the second quarter, completing 11-of-17 passes for 101 yards and a touchdown before being forced from the game following his passing score. The 26-year-old couldn’t grip the football properly while warming up on the sidelines and was later ruled out near the start of the second half. Burrow’s practice status sets up as one of Week 12’s pivotal storylines heading into a showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 10 days. Now at 5-5, the Bengals can ill afford to lose their star signal-caller for any amount of time at this juncture of the season amid a heated AFC North race. Jake Browning would fill in for Burrow next Sunday if he isn’t healthy enough to play.

Joe Burrow Won’t Return On Thursday Night
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist) has been ruled out for the remainder of the Thursday night game against the Baltimore Ravens due to a right-wrist injury he suffered late in the second quarter. Burrow was spotted wearing a brace on his wrist earlier in the day and then could not even throw a football on the sidelines after getting hurt. He came out of the locker room after halftime without his helmet and has now officially been ruled out. Jake Browning will finish the game under center for Cincinnati. Fantasy managers will be crossing their fingers that this isn’t a serious injury that keeps Burrow out for an extended period of time. It took some time for Burrow to get back in a rhythm earlier this year due to a calf injury he suffered in training camp, and now his right wrist is a huge concern. Before leaving on Thursday night, Burrow went 11-for-17 for 101 yards and a touchdown, adding seven yards on one carry.

Joe Burrow Questionable To Return On Thursday
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist) is questionable to return to Thursday’s matchup versus the Baltimore Ravens. The superstar signal-caller was forced to exit in the second quarter due to a right wrist injury. He appeared to have hurt his wrist or elbow after being hit, but stayed in the game. However, Burrow was in obvious pain after throwing a touchdown pass later that drive. He attempted to warm up on the sideline, but eventually decided to head to the locker room. At this point, the Bengals might play it safe with their franchise quarterback and hold him out for the rest of the game. In his absence, Jake Browning will be tasked with leading the Bengals offense for this Week 11 contest.

Joe Burrow Aims To Get Cincinnati On Track Versus Baltimore
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will attempt to get his team back into the win column on Thursday night against the Ravens. Both clubs met in Week 2, with Baltimore earning the narrow victory. Burrow finished that one with 222 yards, two touchdowns, and a pick off 27-for-41 passing, which was a more productive showing than he had versus the Browns in the season opener. Unquestionably, the signal-caller struggled early on in the season because of an ailing calf. But he’s played considerably better since the Bengals’ Week 7 bye, throwing seven touchdowns and two interceptions. He’s also completed at least 67.5% of his tosses in each of his last three games. Nonetheless, Burrow and the Bengals have a chance to climb the AFC North standings in Week 11, so the former LSU Tiger should be featured in all fantasy lineups.

Joe Burrow Can’t Lead Cincinnati To Another Win
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow threw for 347 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions off 27-for-40 passing in Sunday’s meeting with the Texans. However, it wasn’t enough, as Houston snapped Cincinnati’s four-game win streak in Week 10, courtesy of a late field goal from Matt Ammendola to take the lead with no time left on the clock. Despite the loss, Burrow has played well since returning from the Week 7 bye, tossing seven touchdowns and two picks in his previous three appearances. He’s also been one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the league during those games, completing 75.2% of his throws. With the Bengals looking to get back into the win column, Cincy will be challenged on Thursday night by the Ravens, who sit atop the AFC North. Of course, Burrow remains a must-start for that one.

Joe Burrow Looking To Keep Cincy On Track In Week 10
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow looks to extend his team’s winning streak to five games against the Texans. The signal-caller played well during the Sunday Night Football win over the Buffalo Bills, throwing for 348 yards and two touchdowns while completing 70.5% of his attempts. Without question, Burrow has looked like a new man since returning from the Week 7 bye, considering he began the year dealing with a calf ailment that severely impacted his mobility. Unfortunately, the former LSU Tiger may have a tougher time remaining an elite fantasy quarterback in Week 10 with Tee Higgins (hamstring) ruled out. Even worse, Ja’Marr Chase is questionable, meaning Burrow might be without his top two wideouts versus Houston. However, the Texans are also battling ailments on both sides of the ball, which could help Burrow stay productive on Sunday, even if Tyler Boyd, Trenton Irwin, and Irv Smith Jr. are his primary pass-catchers.

Joe Burrow Continues To Look In Sync
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was excellent in Sunday’s 24-18 victory over the Buffalo Bills, completing 31-of-44 passes for a season-high 348 yards with two touchdowns. Burrow marched the offense right down the field to start the game, connecting on all six of his passes for 65 yards and a touchdown to Irv Smith Jr. in the back of the end zone. The 26-year-old guided another scoring drive on the ensuing possession, finishing it off with a Joe Mixon handoff and short TD plunge. Burrow later hung in the pocket to dump it off to Drew Sample, who leaked out for a 22-yard catch-and-run score during the second quarter. Burrow has looked like a different player since the Week 7 bye, which allowed his balky calf strain time to heal. The star signal-caller appeared to get a cut on his right index finger but said after the game that he was fine. Burrow is back on the midrange QB1 map for Week 10’s duel with C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans.

Joe Burrow Faces A Tough Challenge In Week 9
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow had a rough start to the 2023-24 campaign. However, the signal-caller has finally turned things around and is coming off his best performance of the year, throwing for 283 yards and three touchdowns in the win over the San Francisco 49ers. Even more impressive, he completed 87.5% of his passing attempts. With the Bengals looking for another victory, Burrow and company will host the Bills for a Sunday Night Football showdown. Of course, Buffalo’s defense can make things difficult for any offense. But this isn’t a typical offense, so producing for fantasy managers may not be as difficult for the 26-year-old as it may seem. Keep the Burrow starting in all fantasy formats in Week 9.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow led his team to the win over the 49ers in Week 8. The 2020 No. 1 overall pick had a big day, throwing 283 yards and three touchdowns off 28-for-32 passing. He added six carries for 43 yards. It’s apparent that the week off did Burrow and the Bengals some good, considering the signal-caller looked better than he has all season. With the Bengals riding a three-game win streak, they will look to keep it going against the Bills next Sunday night. Without question, Burrow remains a must-start fantasy option in all formats.

Joe Burrow Looking To Lead Bengals To Another Win
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow looks to lead his team to a third-straight win on Sunday against the 49ers. The Bengals were off in Week 7, which couldn’t have come soon enough for many players on Cincinnati’s roster, including Burrow, who has battled a calf issue since training camp. Although the signal-caller claimed the injury was behind him, nobody was buying it, considering he has underperformed for most of the 2023-24 campaign. However, Burrow played much better in the previous two games entering the bye week, so fantasy managers are optimistic the former LSU Tiger could have his best showing of the year in Week 8, especially since he had extra time to rest and heal. Keep the 26-year-old starting in all fantasy formats.

Joe Burrow Leads Cincinnati To Another Win
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow finished with 185 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception off 24-for-35 passing in Sunday’s win over the Seahawks. He added two carries for four yards. The 2020 No. 1 overall pick threw for over 300 yards in Week 5. However, he didn’t come close to that mark in this one. Of course, he played better in Week 6 than in the first four weeks of the 2023-24 campaign, so fantasy managers know it could have been much worse. Nonetheless, Burrow and the Bengals will be off in Week 7, so extra rest could do wonders for the signal-caller, considering he’s recently gotten healthy after battling a calf issue over the summer. Unfortunately for fantasy managers, Cincinnati will play San Francisco and Buffalo in Weeks 8 and 9. While Burrow will remain a must-start for those games, he has a tough road ahead.

Joe Burrow Hopes For Duplicate Outing In Week 6
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was quiet through the first four weeks of the 2023-24 campaign. During that span, the signal-caller threw two touchdowns, although both occurred in Week 2 against Baltimore. Unquestionably, Burrow’s calf injury suffered during training camp limited his production. However, he finally got it together in the Week 5 win over the Arizona Cardinals, tossing for 317 yards and three touchdowns while completing an impressive 78.3% of his attempts. Granted, Burrow’s stellar showing came versus one of the worst defenses in the National Football League. Yet, there’s no way to justify benching him for Sunday’s meeting with the Seattle Seahawks. Keep him starting in all fantasy setups.

Joe Burrow Close To Full Health
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (calf) has been dealing with a nagging calf strain since the preseason and reaggravated the strain during a Week 2 loss. Burrow was not listed on the injury report ahead of Week 5 and wound up turning in his best game of the season, throwing for 317 yards and three touchdowns. Burrow told reporters on Wednesday that he is finally feeling confident enough to run around and extend plays. Fantasy gamers who have stuck with Burrow through a rough first four weeks of the season can begin to count on the star signal-caller in lineups moving forward. Burrow and the Bengals will face the Seattle Seahawks in Week 6.

Joe Burrow Turns It Around On Sunday
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow threw for 317 yards, three touchdowns (all to Ja’Marr Chase), and one interception off 36-for-46 passing during the win over the Cardinals on Sunday. The signal-caller had thrown only two touchdowns entering Week 5, so many were starting to lose hope. But Burrow gave managers a reason to remain optimistic, meaning he’ll be starting in most fantasy lineups heading into the Week 6 meeting with the Seattle Seahawks.

Joe Burrow Looks To Get Bengals On Track In Week 5
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (calf) hasn’t looked himself this season. Without question, an ailing calf has limited him since training camp. While most fantasy managers had assumed it would only take the signal-caller a game or two to get back on track, he’s thrown two touchdowns and two interceptions in the first four games. Equally as bad, Burrow has completed just 57.6% of his passing attempts. It’s hard to fathom benching the 26-year-old in any fantasy format in Week 5, especially since he could have a big day against a Cardinals defense that has allowed nearly 26 points per game. On the other hand, nobody can blame one for keeping him out of the lineup until he gets his act together.
