People have more favorable descriptions of men and women with straight teeth than those with crooked teeth.

Bad teeth = Biggest turn-off

According to the study, 77% of women think crooked teeth are worse than a receding hairline in a potential love interest. The study also found that 22% of Americans unhappy with their smile think that better teeth would lead to better love life.

How to prevent a crooked smile?

To prevent having a crooked smile, we should start taking care of it in our early years.

  • Practice healthy dental hygiene like daily brushing and flossing from a young age through adulthood.
  • Avoid biting your nails or using toothpicks excessively.
  • Chew on both sides of your mouth.
  • Sleep on both sides evenly. If you sleep on your back, don’t worry about switching sides.
  • Fix the gaps in your teeth as soon as possible.
