John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is back. The most chilling installment of the SAW franchise yet explores the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s most personal game. Set between the events of SAW I and II, a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, John returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through a series of ingenious and terrifying traps.
Parents need to know that Saw X is extremely violent and gory and parental discretion is advised.

Saw X is Rated R for torture, bloody violence, drug use, and language which means some content is not suitable for kids under 17.

Due to brutal and intense killings throughout the film, Saw X is not recommended for children. Violence and gore is very high, which is to be expected for a Saw movie. Characters are burned, murdered, stabbed, beaten, etc. Some traps set may be too much for tweens and some teens.
A character must saw her own leg off. Another character gets their eyeballs sucked out. A character is beheaded. Another drills into his skull and pulls out some brain. A character suffers burns to the face.

A character is almost raped after asking for money when tempting a character.
A character uses drugs.
Is Saw X Appropriate for Kids Under 17?
You can expect brutal killing, blood and gore, heavy violence, profanity used by characters, and some drug use in Saw X. To sum it up, Saw X is not kid friendly for ages 16 and younger and is quite disturbing. If your teens are into the horror genre and have seen the other Saw movies, well this one isn’t much different. However, Saw X is recommended for mature audiences only.
Saw X takes place between Saw and Saw II, with fan favorites John and Amanda leading the charge of torture. It’s the 10th film for the franchise and is not particularly creative, but it does the job of giving you kills and gore. If that’s enough for you, then enjoy. I doubt you’re here for all the happy feels.

The storyline is kind of strange, living in the past, instead of moving towards the future. Because if you’ve seen the other films, well spoiler alert, you know some characters are dead. Could they be resurrected at some point? You never know with horror.
