iMessage can be easily disabled on both iOS devices.
Here are the steps to turn of iMessage on iPhone or iPad:
- Go to settings on your iPhone
- Scroll down and tap the messages
- Toggle off iMessage so it turns grey
Note that when you toggle iMessage back on, it will undergo an activation which last a few seconds to minutes.
